For the most part, all you need to do is copy and paste our code into your site's HTML. We will give you a snippet of code for each gadget you create.
Also, we have recently created Flash tutorials which show you how to insert our services using several popular tools/services. If you think we should add another company or service to this tutorial series, please let us know!
Why Won't My Images / Banner / Logo Show Up?
Some webhosts (especially free webhosts, such as Xoom) do not allow other systems to load images from websites they host. What can you do? Move to a place that allows remote image loading (most do), such as Tripod.
My TopSites Page Comes Up Not Found (404 Error)
The TopSites script creates the TopSites page whenever a user places a vote. In order to see recent changes, or to initially create the page, you need to tell the script to do so - there is a link in the control panel to re-create the index page. Click this link and your TopSites page will appear.
How Can You Afford To Host These Gadgets for Free?
Simple - we place a single, business-friendly banner on each page loaded on our website. You can see a sample of the banners we rotate above, or by visiting the example gadgets from our main page.
How Can I Set Up Maillist Builder to Work With Listbot?
First, sign up for a ListBot account. In order to successfully set up SiteGadgets to work with your list, you must have your ListBot list name.
Log in to your control panel. Click on the Maillist Builder on the left sidebar, then click configuration. Enter the following values:
- Email Subject: Subscribe (list name)
- Email Address To Send To: (list name)-subscribe@listbot.com
- Text Before Email Address: (blank)
- Text After Email Address: (blank)
That's it!
How Can I Change My Username?
You can not change your username. If you want a different username, however, please feel free to sign up for another account, with the username you desire.
How Can I Delete My Account?
Send an email to webmaster@sitegadgets.com with DELETE in the subject. In the email, include your username and password.
